Gone are the exams, and here are the much-awaited HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!Woohoo!!!!! I have been doing a countdown to the school hols and they are finally here. Well my exams went on ok, or at least I think they went on ok. Will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed, as I await the release of my results. In the meantime I'd probably be bumming around, and enjoy life without having to meet deadlines and so on.
Finally completed the paper that I did for my Financial Accounting Prof. He's using it for a conference in India, and he said that the next task is to get it published in a Journal of Higher Education. I am pretty excited about it! Wow my work getting published in a journal! Haha. But my name won't appear though. But hey, I know who wrote it, and he knows who wrote it! Well, I'd probably wait for his email telling me that it has been published in the journal! :D
And yes, I'd be getting my car pretty soon. No it is not the Camry that I'd be getting, but the Honda Civic. Ok la, better than not having a car at all right? I'd be getting the black one. I think it is really cool and elegant, and it has this shine after I have polished it. Look forward to zipping around in my brand new black car! Sleek!

This is indeed a rather trying period for me now, as the exams are looming. They start next week and gosh, I just do not feel like studying the moment I see my books. But of well I guess I need to persevere.
Also, thanks a million BD, for making this sucky life a lot more bearable, like showering me with loads of much-needed TLC. What you did yesterday really made me happy. It really brightened up my day considerably. Am rather touched by what u did. :) Love ya lots..

Have not been here for a long long while. Was really tied down by work. I think life as an SMU student is really really hectic, with all that project work. I think project work can be really stressful, especially if it takes up a significant portion of your final grade, and when there are so many of them at hand. I cannot help but stop and ask myself, is there really any value in doing so much project work, and how much value will it add to my tertiary education. While I do not disagree that project work does help to instil in us the spirit of teamwork and perserverance, I think that it does nothing more than that. Has the benefits of project been overestimated? Or is it that the sheer quantity of it simply kills all interest? I dont know. But what I feel about it is that I have not benefitted much from it on the whole. I dont think I have. I think that the benefits of project have been overstated. It is an overstatement to say that project work is "beneficial in training students who not only know how to study, but are able to think critically and independently".
Anyway, enough of project work. I will not have to do any for a good month. Was out practically the whole day, and was on a...shopping spree. I think shopping is really a form of therapy sometimes. I feel happier when I see pretty things, and even happier if I manage to lay my hands on them. Just like today, I got two really pretty necklaces from Swarovski, one of which is mother of pearl, and another which is black and red. I cant really describe it, but all I can say is that they both look really fantastic, and they are what I call "must-haves" . Had lunch with mom, BD and his parents. Heehee..first time that they met. SO funny.. :) They seem to get on ok. Heehee. Tmr is the last day of school before the exams. Going to sleep soon. Going to bombard my prof with qtns tmr. Heh. Be prepared man!
